Pantai Morib, a popular beach located in Selangor, Kuala Lumpur, is historically the first landing point on the west coast for the British and Indian Army liberation forces during World War II. Destined to become a tropical showcase of choice 22km of beach frontage of Malaysia's easily accessible western coastline, facing the sheltered water of the Straits of Malacca. Still, Pantai Morib remains popular with families and couples, as the recreational park here is spacious and equipped with excellent facilities, including gazebos, playgrounds, walkways and a food court. The closest hotels in the area are Impian Morib Htel and Morib Gold Coast, a large resort development along the coast about 7km away.
The aim of our investigation is to manage the stretch of coast sustainably but Pantai Morib is NOT sustainably managed currently.
